What I am about to share with you is something that has changed my future, forever.
You may have seen my video post a couple of days ago about the girl Katie Davis from Uganda. I have been praying heaps about my future recently and asking God whether missionary work is something he want's me to be involved in.
So, I prayed in my prayer journal a prayer to do with this girl Katie Davis and my prayer basically said- "God I want to go on a journey like this girl, I am ready, and If it is in your will Lord, Send me!"
The next day something even more incredible happened to me...
Then on Friday night my beautiful friend Hannah and I were in my spa and she asked if she could pray for me.
I wasn't in a good head space with God and the last thing I wanted to do was pray! So she said she would pray for me in her head. So, I closed my eyes.
I don't remember what happened from there on because I opened my eyes 20mins later and had woken from an amazing dream/vision.
I saw a combination of images.
-It started with a Foetus.
-Then I saw a naked pregnant stomach.
-Then I saw myself sitting in a rocking chair, with a pregnant tummy and my boyfriend Josh was standing huddled over me, praying over my stomach.
-Then the image began to zoom out and out and out...
-And I saw this HUGE doll house, and the image of Me, Josh and the rocking chair was in a room in the middle.
-I then saw heaps of rooms all around us (they were moving images in every room, not still) and a huge attic above.
-Then this hand reach into the doll house and open the door to the attic above us, and as the door opened light and colours flooded the room Josh and I were in and this staircase appeared.
-The hand then opened a room to the the left of us, where there was heaps of moving traffic (cars, motorbikes, bikes) and huge billboards and signs in other (what looked like Asian) languages.
-The hand then opened a room to the right of us, where there was just barren, dry land and a small tornado in the middle, spinning around and around and around.
-Below the room Josh and I were in, were 3 more rooms, but I couldn't see anything because they were just plain black painted rooms with huge white question marks floating in them.)
I felt God telling me that he was making the way for my future. I felt God tell me that he was giving me the key to the heavens and he wanted Josh and I to bring what we saw in this attic, down to the rooms he had opened and to the rooms he plans to open. I felt God telling me that I am to birth a ministry and Josh will fuel and bring strength to it as he prays over it.
My dad had told me he had a gut feeling God was going to do something amazing in my day!
I was collecting for the Salvation Army in Melbourne City, had no money on me, was tired and hadn't had time for breakfast, when this man randomly brought me a Cappuccino with 2 sugars (EXACTLY HOW I DRINK MY COFFEE!)
I thought this was pretty cool and praised God for the free breakfast!
Later in the day I was absolutely starving, and was just standing by myself shaking the collectors tin, praying...
when an old 79 year old couple who were traveling from Texas, approached me.
They told me that they felt as if God had set up an appointment between me and them.
Then the woman asked me "What do you want to do in your future?"
I told her I had been praying about being a missionary and was waiting on God to speak.
She then opened her mouth and said...
"You remind me a lot of this girl I read about, from America, who moved to Uganda at a young age and adopted 14 kids and started her own organisation..."
I was shocked, because this was the exact story of this girl Katie Davis I had seen the video of, Ordered the book online for Christmas and prayed about...
I asked the woman what this girls name was and she replied "I think it's Katie... someone?"
HOW AMAZING IS GOD! I felt this was all a massive confirmation on my prayers about mission work and being a missionary!
AND... Jesus didn't stop there... The couple offered to pay for my lunch! So we sat down together and had a really nice lunch, and they prayed over me.
After lunch... I was standing praying about this confirmation God had given me, and I started thinking about children, and children's ministry- praying if this was the age group God was calling me too spread his love with...
Pretty much straight away, these 4 kids came up to me and began dancing to the carollers! I lifted one of the young kids on my shoulder and he started kissing my face and saying "I love you! Why do I love you?" Over and over again....
I felt as if he could see God's spirit resting on me because he kept saying "I love you, Why do I love you?"
God is so faithful!
When I was distant, he continued to bless me!
This is the start of a beautiful adventure.
The doors he unlocks, I will forever walk through.
