Tonight as I was alone in Sydney Road, leaning into my mums car to get her tripod, I found myself in a position I never thought would happen to me. As I turned around a girl I'd never seen before was standing behind me, in my face, staring at me.
She screamed abuse at me as she cornered me into a lane way, where a tall, buff man in a black beanie stood, hands behind his back as she looked at him and gave him a couple of nods.
As she screamed things I would rather not repeat... God showed up.
He spoke through me, things I never thought I'd say in that position.
I found myself telling her things like "You're beautiful. You're stunning!" God was using me to fight back with his LOVE.
Confused by my compliments, she accused me of judging her for her tattoo covered body... and as I pulled back my hair to reveal the fish tattoo behind my neck, the scene suddenly changed.
The man turned away (signally for her to stop). Something in me felt the need to introduce myself- I said "By the way guys, my names Sam... whats yours?" the girl answered "My name's Sam too" and I invited them to come watch my friends gig... even more confused by my introduction, the girl slowly moved away from me and I walked away protected by the shadow of our almighty God!
