Once a week I get the privilege to spend time with the kids from the children's court.
Usually it involves- games, toys, hot chocolate and pee on the floor.
But today was nothing like I'd ever experienced or expected.
I met a 23 year old mother and her almost 2 year old child.
She explained to me the fear, grief and pain of knowing that within hours her child could be taken from her...
She began to cry,
and then she wept.
And as I watched the tears roll down her cheek, and her eyes gaze into her child's face,
God whispered these words into my heart...
"This is how I feel when I loose my children!"
You see, the same way in which this mother wept over her child,
Jesus weeps over us!
God loves us so much, and when we choose to deny his love,
he does not sit there and wave us goodbye... No! He weeps.
So maybe today you're running from God.
Maybe you're lost, maybe you're bitter, maybe you're broken.
But the FATHER is weeping over and with you.
He sent his son (Jesus) to die one of the most agonising deaths-
FOR YOU!
When Jesus was nailed to the cross- YOU WERE ON HIS MIND!
YOU WERE MADE FOR GLORY,
YOU WERE MADE TO SHINE,
YOU WERE MADE TO ENCOUNTER HIS DEEP LOVE FOR YOU!
